Rare October Summer-Like Stretch In Store For Region: 5-Day Forecast

October has arrived, but get set for a summer-like stretch of days with temperatures in the 70s starting at the end of the workweek.

According to the National Weather Service, a weak cold front will slowly approach from the west on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

There will be a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Areas farthest north and inland could see spotty showers.

Temps will begin to climb on Thursday, Oct. 3, with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the low 70s.

The mercury will climb a bit higher on Friday, Oct. 4, reaching the mid-70s with mostly sunny skies.

There will be plenty of sunshine on Saturday, Oct. 5, with a high temperature in the mid-70s.

The outlook for Sunday, Oct. 6, calls for sunny skies with temperatures in the low to mid-70s.

It will become cloudy at night with a chance of showers.
